Book review: Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4)

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. MaasQueen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Song: Bruno Mars – Count on me

“She was fire, and light, and ash, and embers. She was Aelin Fireheart, and she bowed for no one and nothing, save the crown that was hers by blood and survival and triumph.”

This quote describes the book perfectly because maybe for the first time we got to see not Celaena, not Lillian, but Aelin. And she was glorious!

Gone was the spoiled whiny smartass who thought only in terms of here and now, this woman plans 10 steps ahead and got things handled like nobody’s business. Dark forces may have their wicked plans for a world domination but they’ll have a mighty fight on their hands with a number of allies Aelin is acquairing.

Also I have to say that this book got intense by the end, I had to take a breather every few chapters my heart was beating so fast. If I develop a heart condition before I read through the series end – I blame SJM.

Over and out
