Book review: The Red

The Red by Tiffany Reisz

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Song: Stereophonics – Devil

My mind refuses to wrap itself around whatever I just read. It was weird and sick and ugly, sometimes funny, and totally out of my comfort zone. Because ok, there is kinky, and don’t get me wrong – I like me some kinky, and then there’s perverse, and then there’s what-the-hell, and then thenthere is bitch-are-you-crazy level of fuckery. And let me tell you, we skipped to the last one pretty damn fast.

I hated some parts, was weirded out by the others, laughed my ass of in some of them and all this time I was wondering if there was a paranormal twist to it or was Malcolm really that good with messing with Mona’s head. Overall it was a strange experience and I only just decided to be ok with it. I wasn’t sure until I was writing this. So there, make of this whatever you want.

Over and out
