Book review: Bloodfever

BloodfeverBloodfever by Karen Marie Moning

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Song: Superchick – Hey Hey

Buddy read with my girls Jilly and edge of bubble.

Ooh, I’m on a roll with this series. I just can’t seem to stop once I start reading. I’m in dire need of sleep but my systems just keep on going.

Second book continues to expand the world that author created. We have a few new characters, possible alliences, new locations and some new tricks. I’m loving it. I’d like to learn more about Patrona and her connection to Mac, that Rowena character bugs me for some reason, and things are going somewhere with Dani. And how about that “famous” man at the auction with political aspirations, was Ms. Moning a profit about that one or what?

I don’t know if it’s the sleep deprivation, or something else entirely, but I’m starting to like Barrons. How did that happen? Must be the countless times he saved Mac’s petunia.

I’m still not 100% on board where it concerns him, but at this point anyone else would have surely given up. Some clues about his real identity are starting to come out and I have a couple ideas, but I’m not ready to voice them as of yet.
Mac is finally starting to grow some serious backbone, kicking ass and beating the shit out of her enemy. Just once, but still, huge step.

Way to go, Mac!

Over and out.
