Very interesting, well-written, action filled story about a war veteran, Sgt. Major Bushnell, trying to claim revenge on Mother Nature, and a police officer intent on helping him. From the description of the book above you’d think that Bushnell was the main character here, but no, it was the officer – Schaefer. I did sympathize with what he tried to accomplish – helping mentally unstable person to get closure and find some peace, but I thought Schaefer went too far with it. It’s one thing to attempt doing it in a completely controled environment, it’s another thing to risk countless lives to appease one man’s fantasies.

I think the story could win a great deal from being made into a full novel. I would’ve loved to get different POVs, it would have rounded it up nicely. Maybe we could get a little more of an insight into Bushnell’s mind and why he chose to blame Mother Nature. It could be interesting.

Over and out
