Book review: Anti-Stepbrother

Anti-StepbrotherAnti-Stepbrother by Tijan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Song: Kate Voegele – No Good

My first book by Tijan and I have to say, now I understand what all the hype was about. Finished this one practically in one sitting. And that was a feat, I tell you, ’cause I started reading it right after I finished the book before that and it was already 1AM. I loved it, I am deffinitly coming for seconds. Who needs sleep, right?

I laughed, I cried, I’ve punched my pillow a few times. Summer was the perfect MH for me, she couldn’t have been any better in this. Spunky, funny, inherently good and a little nuts. She was coming into her own after high school and bloomed into this amazing character, that I couldn’t help loving. Oh, and those tirades? It cracked me up like nothing in my resent memory.

Can we all agree that Caden is the most perfect specimen since Travis in Beautiful Disaster? His family situation is heartbreaking and more the reason to admire him and seriously, he deserves it.

Kevin on the other hand is the embodiment of assholest asshole. When Summer talked about maiming and guts and stuff, I was right there with her.

I won’t give you any quotes because I would have to post a whole book here, and I’m pretty sure that’s frowned upon. You’ll just have to read it for yourself and I promise you, you won’t regret it.

Still not convinced?

Over and out
